Dear Cross Country Travelers ~

HideAway Lakes is not your typical RV Park. If you're looking for an asphalt parking space, we are not your park... but, if you're looking for an off-the-beaten-path, peaceful, and serene hideaway ~ we are the place for you!

What do we have to offer you?

  • fishing
  • wildlife sanctuary with ducks and geese that will visit your campsite
  • away from city lights and noise, you can see the universe
  • cozy up to a campfire in your campsite (yes, we have firewood)
  • safe & family friendly

  • fishing ~ we stock blue, channel, and white catfish (March thru September, and the fat catfish bite when the water is cold!)
  • firewood ~ juniper, pecan, piñon logs ~ for your campsite fire under the stars
  • s'more's kits ~ the sticks, chocolate stuffed marshmallows, & graham crackers
  • fresh pecans ~ shelled, raw, and candied from our family orchard, Country Pecans

Our History

HideAway has been our family's west Texas ranch for 5 generations.

Our ranch is classified as a natural reservoir ~ but not so long ago, the meandering Rio Grande River ran through here and left behind two amazing oxbow lakes.

On the ranch, we welcome guests who are here for a few hours to sit on the waterfront, a few days to enjoy nature, and guests who are traveling across Texas ~ of course, everyone takes a few pounds of our famous County Pecans! We have been growing pecans and cooking with them for just as long. Take a look at our Southern Comfort Food recipes here.
